Alta Mae Huffington

Alta Mae Huffington 93, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Peabody Health and Rehabilitation at Peabody, Kansas. She was born November 4, 1925, in Florence, Kansas.

She loved going to AAA baseball games, crocheting and being involved with the Rebeca Lodge.

She and her twin sister would enter a lot of twin contests and win in the age group and category.

Alta Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Audrey Jack Huffington; four brothers, William Stamp, Lawrence Stamp, John Stamp Jr., and Robert Stamp; two sisters Laura Robinson, and a twin sister Alice Uphoff; and one great-grandson, Calvin Riggs.

She is survived by son, Alvin Remmers and wife Diane of Davis, California; daughter, Lois Hayes of New Cambria, Kansas; son Warren Remmers and wife Caren of Wichita, Kansas; sons Kenneth Remmers, Eugene Remmers, and Duane Remmers all of Lincolnville, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and lot of nieces and nephews.
