Janis Hackett Amarillo, TX My Queen is now an angel She loved everyone unconditionally and blossomed in other people's happiness. Her loyalty was fierce, her compassion external and her honesty untethered. She was unique, humanly flawed, and the epitome of sweet. She was frail but not fragile, strong and flexible, tough but never rough. She held council with grace, and endured trials with a smile. She was forward thinking, positive feeling, and grounded emotionally. The single thought that comes to the mind of anyone who's ever met her, is sweet with a capital "S". She's your friend not just acquaintance and a teacher when you listen. Just to have known my Queen was to know true and rare beauty. So feel blessed and carry a bit of her with you. Relish it, enjoy it, embrace it. Share as she did and keep that alive. Jan will joyously rejoin with her son Todd and brothers Rick and Scott. She is survived by her husband Rich and his daughter Brianna, her son Anthony "Craig" Scherer and his wife Bobby, her beloved granddaughter Cierra, grandson Logan, and granddaughter Makayla. She is also the proud great grandmother of five: Jayson, Isaac, Katelyn, Alayna, and Sabrina. There is no dought her soul is in God's care now. My Angel shall be remembered longly, dearly, sweetly through crushing tears and smiles.
